Worst Pharmacy EVER!!!

This is the WORST PHARMACY EVER!!! My insurance company made me use them otherwise I would kick them to the curb immediately.
My doctor sent in a Rx. I called in to order it. The process took forever, but finally the CS agent told me that it would be delivered tomorrow. Tomorrow came and went with no delivery. I called in to see what happened. Apparently the pharmacist needed clarification about my order. My doctor called, spoke to the pharmacist and was told everything was ready to go. I called back in and they said it would ship that day to be delivered the next day. The next day came and went. We repeated the process. Long story short, it took 5 days to get my prescription because they kept having questions for my provided. When the medication finally arrived, it was delivered without any temperature control. The medication cannot be stored above 77 degrees F. We are experiencing a heat wave now (heat index well above 100) and the medication was all but ruined because they didn't ship it properly despite the CS agent's assurance that it would be shipped in a temp-controlled manner. A week later, we discovered that there was a different strength of the medication that was much cheaper. So I could use half as much medicine that was twice as strong and that means I'd be taking the same amount but saving some $. I called in to order the prescription. They told me that they needed clarification from my doctor. I insisted on speaking with the pharmacist so I could be sure of exactly what my doctor needed to give them. She rewrote the prescription addressing every issue. I called back in and was told that the order would be shipped the same day and delivered the next day. When I called back in, I found out that the pharmacist had ANOTHER question about the script. My doctor called and spoke to the pharmacist and confirmed they had absolutely everything they needed to ship the meds. I called back in and placed the order and was assured that the medication would ship today. Given my previous bad experience, I called back in just to check on things. Sure enough, the script was marked as needing doctor clarification again. I pushed back and asked to speak to a pharmacist. This other pharmacist reviewed the order history and confirmed that everything was ok and she had no idea why it was marked for doctor review. Apparently there is no way for them to NOT ask my doctor for clarification after it has been marked as needing it. So now I've been told that the prescription will ship today, my doctor will be called anyway, and the only thing I can do to make sure it ships is to keep calling in until I get a tracking number. If your insurance forces you to use this pharmacy, I advise the following: 1. Expect every call to take at least 25 minutes. Nobody can accomplish anything in less time than that. 2. Call back several times a day until you get a tracking number for your shipment. There is no process by which they notify you that your order is on hold or needs provider clarification. It seems like their day is divided into 3 hr blocks, so call at least that often. 3. For any new medications, be sure to order early. It will take several days for them to process your first order. I don't think there is any way around this. 4. If you get stuck in the "needs provider clarification" loop, be sure to push back really hard on the CS agent - ask to speak with a pharmacist every time and get the pharmacist to tell you exactly what is needed. 5. Keep a log of your calls. Every agent has an extension. You want to keep "fishing" until you find one of the agents who isn't a complete idiot and then use their extension from that point on. (This process will take a while as it seems that only one in ten agents has any ability to think at all.) WORST PHARMACY EVER

It has taken 2 weeks and 4 faxes for this company to get the order my latest order. If you have a choice go somewhere else. My insurance locks us in and we have been forced to use these clowns for over a year.
They can not even get refills right. Once they sent sent syringes and no needles and when I called them they said it was not on the prescription. Once they sent cartridges instead of the pens and I called them back to either get the right device or the mechanism for the cartridges; they told me that the neither the device nor the pen needles were on the prescription. I asked them how I was supposed to give the shots, and she could not answer. Go anywhere else... |
